Intended Audience

  • Age Group 5 years old

What do I need?

  • Live Online Training : A laptop, and a stable internet connection. The recommended minimum speed is around 10 Mbps.

Certification

  • A progress report will be issued after each module like this module.
  • After all modules were completed, and the assessments passed, a Competency Certificate will be issued

Duration

    • 1 lesson per week for 12 weeks
    • Crash Course - This course can be crashed over a period of 1-2 weeks full time

    Outcomes

    • Students will learn to program using commands like loops and events.
    • You will learn how to collaborate with others meaningfully,
    • You will know how to investigate different problem-solving techniques,
    • You will be taught how to persist in the face of difficult tasks,
    • You will learn about internet safety.
    • By the end of this course, students create their very own custom game or story from Play Lab that they can share.

    • Learn how to go places safely online
  • 2: Sequencing
    • Learn to Drag and Drop
  • 3: Happy Maps
    • Write instructions to get the Flurb to the fruit
  • 4: Sequencing with Scrat
    • Program Scrat to reach the acorn.
  • 5: Programming with Scrat
    • Write programs to help Scrat reach the acorn.
  • 6: Programming with Rey and BB-8
    • Help BB-8 collect the scrap metal

    Loops

  • 7: Happy Loops
    • Help the Flurb solve bigger problems using loops.
  • 8: Loops with Scrat
    • Help Scrat cover more ground using loops.
  • 9: Loops with Laurel
    • Help Laurel the adventurer collect the treasure underground.
  • 10: Ocean Scene with Loops
    • Use loops and patterns to finish the images.

    Events

  • 11: The Big Event Jr
    • Move and shout when your teachers presses buttons on a giant remote.
  • 12: On the move with events
    • Create your own game or story.
